Jeffrey Holman has extensive trial experience and specializes in the fields of Serious Personal Injury and Corporate Litigation.
Mr. Holman has been practicing in the State of Florida since 1996 and is a founding partner of Holman, Cohen & Valencia, originally formed as Holman & Cohen in the year 2000.
Mr. Holman received his Bachelors Degree in Philosophy from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1990.
Mr. Holman received his Juris Doctor Degree from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law in New York City in 1995.
Mr. Holman sat on the bench in his voluntary capacity as a Judge for the Broward County Teen Court Diversion Program for over 5 years.
Mr. Holman is licensed by the Florida Bar and is likewise licensed by the Federal Bar.
Mr. Kenneth Cohen is AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Registry. He has completed more than fifty jury trials in his 30 plus years as a licensed attorney in the State of Florida.
Mr. Cohen specializes in civil trial work including serious personal injury and wrongful death cases. In addition, Mr. Cohen has represented claimants in insurance policy coverage cases for both property loss and life insurance claims.
Mr. Cohen received his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami in 1973 graduating Magna Cum Laude and he also received his law degree from the University of Miami in 1976.
After graduating, Mr. Cohen served as a research assistant for the Honorable Norman Hendry, Chief Judge of Florida’s Third District Court of Appeals. Later, Mr. Cohen served as an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting economic and white collar fraud crimes.
In private practice, Mr. Cohen was the Managing Partner of the Miami Branch office of the international law firm of Kroll & Tract and has for the last sixteen years, been a senior partner with the Hollywood, Florida law offices of Holman, Cohen & Valencia.
He is available to consult with claimants, directly or with personal attorneys in all trial matters in State and Federal Court.
Stewart Valencia is an experienced litigator with over 15 years of civil and criminal trial work to his credit. Mr. Valencia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida in 1994 and continued on to St. Thomas University School of Law where he was honored with the Dean’s List and completed his law degree. He graduated early in December of 1997 and was subsequently admitted to the Florida Bar in May of 1998.
Mr. Valencia was admitted to the Federal Bar on January 10th 2003. Mr. Valencia has tried over a hundred federal and state civil and criminal bench and jury trials, ranging from misdemeanor DUI to attempted first degree murder, federal Hobbs Act and conspiracy, including complex insurance litigation and medical malpractice.
Mr. Valencia is a member of the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association and the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. Mr. Valencia joined the firm of Holman & Cohen in 1999 and became a named partner in 2004.
